Small Group
Tonight I had my weekly small group meeting. I feel like everyone in the group just shows up and goes through the motions. I don’t feel inspired or any closer to God walking out of the meeting. All I really feel is that everyone in the group is immature. I am going to give it 2 more weeks, and if it doesn’t change I am going to look for something new/different.

“Constantly talking isn’t necessarily communicating.”
— Charlie Kaufman
This was in the screenplay for the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
I am going to make an effort to be a better listener in all of my relationships. I hate when I am talking to someone and I look at them and can tell that they are not paying attention to me. It really drives me crazy. Anyway, enough blogging for tonight. Good night and God bless.

Here is my first “something out of the Ordinary”
I will trust Jesus
All things are not known to me
Faith like a child
We are only kids once
When I was a little kid and would be hanging out with all the neighborhood buddies, every once in a while we would get an idea for something to do however we knew it wasn’t right. Of course we would end up doing it anyway, but 9 times out of 10 the rational would be the classic “hey, we are only kids once”. At the time I remember thinking that my childhood would last forever and that the excuse really wasn’t valid. Looking back I am glad that I did go through with the dirty deeds, because you truly are “only kids once”. The motive for this blog entry is that there are times when my manager is bustin’ my balls that I sometimes day dream back to throwing snowballs at cars and having acorn fights.
I am going to try to do at least one “thing” a month to keep my life interesting. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something huge or expensive, but at least something out of the Ordinary.
No commentsWeekend
I had a great time with my girlfriend this weekend. I drove down to visit her on saturday and stay until today. She was kind enough to get me a few things off of my Amazon wishlist…
The DVDs are a couple of my favorites and I am really looking forward to reading the book. We celebrated Valentines Day on sunday instead of Monday so that I could just drive back to Turlock monday morning. We ate at this really nice place in Cambria called The Sows Ear.
