Madison Park
On Sunday afternoon my wife and I went down to an area of Seattle I had not only never been to, but had never even heard of… Madison Park. On our way there we stopped off on a few of the side streets to admire the older classic homes.
Madison Park itself was ok. It reminded me of a place where wealthy execs live and take there sail boats out during the weekends. A bit out of our price range, but nonetheless quite charming.
No commentsA taste of what its like for an architect.
My wife’s company had their company’s summer picnic on the ‘Royal Argosy’ last friday and I was lucky enough to get to go along. I had to pretty much beg and plead to get out of work but I managed. The food was decent, the views spectacular, and I think we found our dream house on the north side of Bainbridge island.
I felt a little uncomfortable with all those really smart and creative people, but in the end everyone was very nice and I was glad I went.
No commentsLong weekend in Minnesota
Last weekend my wife and I traveled back to Minnesota for my Dad’s 50th birthday party. It was a quick 4 day trip but well worth it. I got to catch up with the family and see my two nieces and nephew. I also got to have lunch with an old buddy of mine which was great because we have both matured a lot since high school and it seems like we can have deeper talks now.
