Full day
I went to the late service at Church today and it was very uplifting. I came home and listened to the Giants game. They won 11 – 4. After that I went golfing with my buddy Marco. I haven’t golfed in about 2 years and we had a blast. Came home from Atwater and rented the Passion. Wow, I feel so humbled after watching that movie. It reminds of John 3:16…
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
No commentsFever Pitch
After work I am going to a movie. Ok, Ok… so it’s a chick flick. At least it has baseball in it.
No commentsGas
I paid $2.46 a gallon today at safeway (the cheapest place in town) which includes my $.03 a gallon discount. The highest I saw driving home was $2.69 a gallon.
I am thankful that I drive a Civic and not a H2 Hummer.
No commentsEphesians 5:1
Ephesians 5:1 “Follow God’s example in everything you do, because you are his dear children.”
I’ve been reading this book called the purpose drive life and one of the chapters says that God wants to be your personal friend. You are supposed to pray and talk to him through out your day, not just in your alone time.
I am going to start by working on my relationship with God. Everything starts in him and finds its purpose in him. I feel like I do spend time with God during my “alone time”, but I neglect him through out the day. I am going to make a point not only study Ephesians 5, but to memorize a verse from Ephesians 5 everyday. That way it will keep my mind on God and I will start to develop a more personal and close relationship.
No commentsSF Giants
I am a huge SF Giants fan so I decided to keep a journal of all of their games for the 2005 season. I hate writing anything down, so of course I created another blog. You can get to it by clicking here. I also added a link on the right hand side of this blog under “my other blogs”. I hope you enjoy the season as much as I do.
No commentsUNC
Congratulations to the North Carolina Tarheels. Your 2005 NCAA Men’s College Basketball Champions. I had Illinois beating UNC, so I was close… maybe next year.
My girlfriends parents invited me over to watch the game and also cooked up some chicken stir-fry. Am I lucky or what? I have found a amazing girlfriend with a great family out here in Cali. I just want to give thanks to God for Kelly, Donna, and Woody.
No commentsSin City
I went to see Sin City tonight and I don’t know how to rate it. I gave it 7/10 but I was really turned off by the nudity and violence. But the style of the movie absolutely blew me away. It was like nothing I had ever seen. It was done mostly in black and white, but the director almost always had some color on the screen. It could be a women’s red dress, or green eyes. Hard to explain, but if you can handle the nudity and violence I highly recommend this movie.
No commentsWeekend
Friday — Going to see Sin City
Saturday — Going over to Mindy’s for some home “southern/cajun” cookin’
Sunday — Church and then going to see Bride and Prejudice
No commentsCan’t Sleep
Laying here listening to Norah Jones.
Headache throbbing right above my left eye.
Why do I become red in the face when I talk in front of people?
Do I need a new mattress? Seems to be sagging in the middle.
Why do I hate cats so much?
Does my yearning for a dog mean that on a deeper level I want kids?
What does it mean to “Provide, Protect, and Nurture”?
I’m half way to 50.
Derek, Scotty, Angie, Meghan… All married or engaged.
My sister has 3 kids.
Wow I have some really random thoughts running through my head at 12:40am Friday morning. Do you ever have one of those nights??
