Last Monday my left eyelid started twitching. I was thinking, man I need some vitamins. But then today the person I share my office with said she was experiencing the exact same thing.
Last Monday the 3 managers of my dept forced down some new policies on us “worker bees”. I was very adamant and outspoken that I was against the changes, and I think I actually did a decent job of negotiating us a better deal. (Maybe I should work for the NHL??)
Vitamins…
or
Stress…
I am leaning towards the latter and I am asking you God to please help me with this situation.
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.”

I tried to take a completely mundane event, and turn it into an interesting photo.
Your thoughts???

I have been off work for the last 10 days. It feels a little strange knowing that I have to wake up early tomorrow to go back to work. Well, I am going to say a prayer tonight to ask God to give me the passion to work hard this week because right now I am dreading it.

After watching some high school basketball at Arco Arena, my flatmate and I went on a tour of J St. I called a buddy of mine and he recommended that we check out a Spanish food place called Tapa the World. I highly recommend it now too!! We had sangria, Filet Mignon Beef Tips, Grilled Chicken Strips, Champiñones al Ajillo, and Gambas al Ajillo. I really enjoyed the ambiance, it made you feel like you were sitting on a little street outside of Barcelona. From there we walked up and down J St. until we stumbled apon what is a highly rated Blues club called The Torch Club. I enjoyed the music, but the service left a lot to be desired and I think that the bartender might have spiked the beer with acid.
I was glad to finally explore Sac-Town, I have lived in Nor-Cal for almost 6 years and had never really spent much time there.
Here is a picture of the Sangria, Grilled Chicken Strips, and Filet Mignon Beef Tips at Tapas.

I am off to Sacramento to watch the local girls varsity basketball team compete in the playoffs. They are playing at Arco arena where the Sacramento Kings play.
Wait a minute, did you read that correctly? Why would I travel 2 hours to watch a girls high school basketball game? Ah… yes, my flatmate’s twin sister is the assistant coach and we are going to support her and the team all the ways to the state finals.
Good luck Lindsay!!

May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
Last night at small group we had the leader of all the small groups show up to just oversee our group and to give us tips to make us all stronger in our faith. What I took away from the meeting was that verse. He talked about how his mom made him say it out loud before leaving the house everyday. He really didn’t understand it at the time, but looking back he realizes that he helped him make the right decisions during the high temptation situations.
Recently I came across Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.
I have decided that it will become my verse for 2005. I will memorize it and live my life according to it. I have a hard time letting go, I am bit of a control freak so it will be hard to “seek his will” but I am going to do my best to surrender to God’s will.

TV…
Television…
Do we need it? My TV is about 14 months old and already it’s at the repair center. I am weighing the pros and cons of just doing away with the whole thing. The only part of it I will really miss is watching DVDs.
hmm…
More to come on the TV situation…
